CAD Design and Drafting
For the design process to be a great success it must start with you. Your home
or renovation project can reflect who you are and what you love. We approach
the design process with this in mind. Our goal is to take your dreams and infuse
them into a structurally solid, economically efficient design project that
will last a lifetime.
Typically a homeowner will come to us with their ideas scratched on a piece of
tablet paper and some pictures clipped out of magazines. We than listen to their
ideas and make suggestions along the way guiding the process along. Catering
to our clients’ varied tastes has gained us a reputation of being a flexible
company who does projects that are out of the ordinary and unique.
Regardless of the degree to which you may or may not have developed your dreams
for the project you are considering we would be happy to meet with you and discuss
your ideas. The initial consultation is free and during this time we can determine
the best method of moving
forward with your plans.
We design our projects in accordance with the International Residential Code
and our plans include details that enable the code enforcement official to recognize
the integrity of the design and the quality of the materials thus easing the
inspection process. Plans can be printed on 8 ½” x 11”paper,
24” x 36” paper, 30”x 42” paper or 36” x 48” paper
in black or color.
Pre-construction Renderings
How many times did you buy a car without first seeing it and taking it for a
test drive? In most cases before we invest in big ticket items we conduct a thorough
inspection of the product first, it only makes good sense. So why would you make
what could be one of the major investments of your lifetime without even seeing
what the finished product will
look like before you pay for it?
Pre-construction renderings take the guesswork out of building. We can design
and “build” a house on our CAD software and than take pictures of
the interior and exterior of the “finished” project before it is
built. We can even take you on a virtual tour or “walkthrough” of
the house or renovation project before you make the down payment
on the building
project.
Project Planning
From our school days we were taught “what you put into it is what you get
out of it”. This is still true today and especially in the building and
renovation arena good planning will ensure better results. Unfortunately too
many construction projects are entered into too hastily and haphazardly causing
undue stress and aggravation to everyone involved but ultimately resulting in
the biggest loss being carried by the homeowner.
Proper planning and strategic procedures can streamline the process and make
it a satisfying and even exhilarating experience. Whether you have already chosen
your contractor or you are soliciting bids it is very important that the details
have been defined in order to ensure accuracy and clarity. Without proper planning
and documentation there is a great potential for “grey area” that
may cost you more than you are expecting. The way that a job will be completed
is often determined by
the way it begins.
The Project Planning package we offer contains a full materials list, a project
schedule, bidders instructions, and project specifications. This package is a
great accompaniment to a set of prints and pre-construction renderings.
Permit Acquisition
The increasing quantity and intensity of official construction code enforcement
and the accompanying submittals and requirements can be intimidating. Along with
the prints and the project planning we can handle the process of securing the
necessary permits and inspections for you.
